What are the common symptoms in early pregnancy?
Morning sickness, breast tenderness, fatigue, mood changes, and frequent urination are normal. But if symptoms are severe (e.g., excessive vomiting, fainting), consult your doctor.
When should I see my doctor or midwife?
Schedule your first antenatal checkup as soon as you confirm pregnancy. Regular visits help track your baby’s growth and your health.
Which foods are safe or should be avoided?
Eat balanced meals with fruits, vegetables, protein, and whole grains. Avoid raw seafood, undercooked meat, unpasteurized milk/cheese, and limit caffeine.
What warning signs should I watch for?
Seek medical help if you notice:
  • Vaginal bleeding or fluid leakage
  • Severe abdominal pain or headache
  • Sudden swelling of hands/face
  • Reduced baby movements (after 28 weeks)
  • Can I take medicines or supplements during pregnancy?
Only take what your doctor prescribes. Common safe supplements include folic acid, iron, and calcium. Avoid self-medicating, even with herbal remedies, unless approved.
What is the best sleeping position in pregnancy?
Sleeping on your side (especially the left) is best, as it improves blood flow to the baby. Avoid lying flat on your back for long periods in later pregnancy.
Can I continue working during pregnancy?
Many women can safely work, depending on their health and job type. Listen to your body, take breaks, and seek medical advice if your work involves heavy lifting or exposure to harmful substances.
    Is exercise safe during pregnancy?
Yes, light-to-moderate exercise like walking, swimming, or prenatal yoga is usually safe. Avoid heavy lifting or high-risk sports. Always check with your healthcare provider first.
    Can I fast during pregnancy?
Many pregnant women can fast safely if they are healthy, but some may face risks. Islam allows a mother to break her fast if her health or the baby’s health may be affected. Always consult your doctor before fasting.
Is it normal to feel anxious about delivery?
Yes, it’s normal. Preparing with knowledge, relaxation techniques, and du‘a can help. Allah does not burden a soul beyond what it can bear (2:286).
How do I use the fetal kick counter?
Open the feature and tap each time your baby moves. Tracking helps you notice your baby’s activity pattern. If you feel fewer movements than usual, contact your doctor.
Can this app replace medical advice?
No. EVE is your companion and guide, but it does not replace medical care. Always follow up with your healthcare provider.
What happens after delivery – does EVE support postpartum care?
Yes. EVE guides you through recovery, breastfeeding, emotional health, and bonding with your baby. It also provides spiritual reminders about gratitude and patience during this new phase.
How can I manage stress and anxiety during pregnancy?
  • Practice deep breathing, gentle strectching, or meditation.
  • Take short breaks, write in a journal, or talk with trusted friend.
  • Focus on small daily goals rather than worrying about the entire journey.
  • Recite dhikr (SubhanAllah, Alhamdulillah, Allahu Akbar), keep salah on time, and remember that Allah is in control. Use EVE's reminder cards for gentle encouragement.
  • What if I feel overwhelmed by the changes in my body or mood?
  • Understand that mood swings and physical changes are normal.
  • Try connecting with a support group, therapist, or other mothers.
  • Engage in self-care: light exercise, sufficient sleep, and nutritious meals.
  • How can I stay positive when things don't go as planned?
  • Focus on what you can control, and accept what you can't.
  • Celebrate small wins each day, like proper rest, hydration, or tracking baby kicks.
  • Journaling or mindful reflection helps maintain perspective.
  • Can I practice mindfulness or relaxation techniques safely?
Yes. Simple techniques like slow breathing, visualization, or listening to calming music can improve mood and reduce tension.
How can I strengthen my emotional connection with my baby before birth?
  • Talk, sing, or read to your baby regularly.
  • Keep a daily journal or photo diary to capture your pregnancy journey.
  • Gentle touch or prenatal massage can enchance bonding.

    Yes. For example:

  • "Rabbi habli min ladunka dhurriyatan tayyibah" (3:38) - asking Allah for good offspring.
    You'll find du'a in EVE's reflection section.
